Music Ministry of Harmony Baptist Church

 “Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, praise His name.” Psalm 96:1-2

Music has always been an important part of our worship service at Harmony. We enjoy many different musical styles and selections. It is not unusual to hear a modern praise and worship song, a southern gospel song, and a traditional hymn in the same service. Our music is scripturally sound and aimed at encouraging God’s People to openly praise Him together. Music that tells what Christ has done for us and how much he loves everyone can often reach the hearts of many that may never hear the spoken word. The Bible illustrates through scripture how music and songs have been used for thousands of years to praise and worship God.

The Sanctuary Choir is filled with people who love God and enjoy using their voices and instruments to worship and praise the Lord.  It is one of the most active groups in our church. We lead the congregation in worship each Sunday morning and present major musicals and cantatas throughout the year. We have solos, duets, groups, and instrumentalists that help us to present the full gospel message during our services. Our goal is to share the gospel through music.

Our desire is to praise the name of Jesus and to lift His name up. We are called to worship Jesus Christ in everything we do! Join us for Choir Practice! It is a time of worship as well as we prepare for Sunday mornings and other events. We sing a lot, laugh a lot, and feel blessed a lot! We experience a variety of music and work hard in rehearsals in order to do our best for God’s Glory. We are always seeking people to be a part of the music ministry. Come join us!
